Discover the loveliest walks in Leuven
Leuven has all the vibes of a big city. Diverse and creative, trendy and full of life, with its world-renowned history and university. But Leuven is also pleasingly small. This makes it so easy to explore the city and experience it to the very fullest. Even just on foot.
Overview of the walks
- City centre walk: Highlights | 5 km
The historic city centre has a great deal to offer. Of course, the legendary Town Hall is top of the bill, but there are many more amazing buildings and places to explore! - Extra loop to Park Abbey | 4,6 km
This walk is ideal if you want to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind you. The spacious City Cemetery is certainly worth a visit, and Park Abbey is also an oasis of peace. - Extra loop to Arenberg Campus | 4,5 km
Soak up the academic ambience during this walk. Arenberg Campus, with its eye-catching Arenberg Castle, is the learning environment in which KU Leuven’s engineering students spend their time. The IMEC building is also a cradle of scientific research. - Extra loop to the Provincial Domain of Kessel-Lo | 8,8 km
The ‘stops’ along this walk offer something for everybody. Young and old alike can enjoy themselves in the Provincial Domain of Kessel-Lo; and you can head off to Vlierbeek Abbey (or its surroundings) for a moment of peace and quiet.
