Cycle along the canal and the green belt around Leuven and discover the city’s breweries. Take a break along the way with your Smaakticket and enjoy a beer tasting.

Get your Taste Ticket
Pause mid-tour at Smederij for a tasting of 4 local Adept beers and extra snacks. The Taste Ticket is valid for 7 days. When you do the tastings included in the Taste Ticket is up to you. Before you leave, check the opening hours below.

Hightlights on the route
Brewery Stella Artois
The world’s largest brewery concern AB InBev and its famous beer Stella Artois are still firmly rooted in their hometown Leuven. Take part in an interactive guided tour, on the weekends.
Leuven Mechelen Canal
It is impressive that 250 years ago, 50 workers spent 2 years digging a 30 km long canal, from which we still benefit today.
Brewery Adept - De Smederij
Once this was the house of a blacksmith, now it is a microbrewery with brewpub in the quaint village of Winksele. Enjoy local food and beers, indoors or outdoors.
Brewery Hof ten Dormaal
You embark on a scenic journey through fields of grains and hops to reach this farm-to-pint brewery. The Janssens family’s craft beers are made with 100% homegrown ingredients.
Swing bassin
This swing basin serves as a turning point for ships unable to navigate the bend in the regular channel. It's also a pleasant spot for fishing or relaxation.
Boortmalt
