At one time, Park Abbey was one of the foremost abbeys in the Southern Netherlands. Nowadays it is the best-preserved abbey in Belgium.

Park Abbey is located in a peaceful green area on the edge of the city. You can walk freely around the site every day and enjoy the historic abbey buildings, ponds, meadows and cemetery.
Museum PARCUM, the museum at Park Abbey
Attention Museum PARCUM temporarily closed
We are preparing a new exhibition. Until and including Friday 23 October 2026, you cannot visit the abbey buildings.
Would you like to discover the inside of the abbey? With an admission ticket to Museum PARCUM, you get access to beautifully restored historic rooms, including the cloisters, the refectory and the library with its unique stucco ceilings. These rooms also host thematic exhibitions.
