  • Croque n’ Roll

This restaurant is located on the hip eatery strip of Leuven and is the perfect place to lunch with kids. What child doesn’t love delicious, cheesy, sandwiches? There are plenty of options to choose from that will surely appease any kid's appetite.

Once you’ve finished up lunch, we recommend visiting St. Peter’s Church in the city center. Here, you’ll find tours for young and old alike. You can even use high tech glasses to explore the church in a whole new way! Just ask the service desk for a pair.

  • Leo Pancakes

Many kids would agree that breakfast food is delicious for all meals of the day, and that includes lunch! Leo Pancakes offer delicious American pancakes with fun toppings kids will surely enjoy. For the adults, there are yummy bagels and plenty of coffee options to choose from.

Leo Pancakes is also located along one of the loveliest shopping strips in Leuven, it’s worth taking some time to do some shopping! There’s even a children’s toy shop nearby called Grasshopper that is well worth visiting.

  • Brasserie 't Oud Gasthuys

This place has everything you need for a lunch spot with kids: play space for children, fun kids menu, and great food for the adults too! High chairs and coloring books are also available to children upon request. Brasserie 't Oud Gasthuys is also located near the famous (but temporary) Leuven Velodroom, a fun place for kids to run around and play.

Looking for the perfect family gathering spot? Look no further than Hal 5! There are plenty of seats indoor and outdoor and many options for food. Next to Hal 5 is a large field for children to run around in and play games, there are even slides nearby!

Hal 5 is an eclectic collection of food, sustainable businesses, and fun activities for everyone. Keep an eye on the Hal 5 events calendar, there is plenty happening here! Seeing as Hal 5 is known as one of Leuven’s hidden gems, it’s a place worth checking out with the kids!

  • Dewerf

Located near the center of Leuven, this fun restaurant offers a lot of great kid friendly options. The menu is perfect for all ages and has something for everyone (even the picky eaters!) Another perk of this spot is the large grassy area for kids to play on. You can kick back and relax with some delicious food and refreshing drink while the kids romp around in the grass.

Find Dewerf at Hogeschoolplein 5, 3000 Leuven. Keep in mind, it is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
