Expo • Atlas Of Proposals #3: (Con)Temporary Town Hall

Starting in autumn 2024, Town Hall will close for major renovations. This summer, we are opening the doors for one last time. You can visit the historic halls and salons for free on Saturdays as well as discover more about the plans for City Hall.

In the studio on the second floor, you can visit the exhibition 'Atlas Of Proposals #3: (Con)Temporary Town Hall. In the education lab Atlas of Proposals, Gijs Van Vaerenbergh, artist-in-residence at BAC ART LAB (KU Leuven), collaborates with about 20 architecture students on a topical theme. This academic year, the focus is on Leuven's town hall, which is undergoing extensive renovation and restoration and is therefore temporarily closing its doors. The studio is developing imaginary proposals in which the town hall remains visible and accessible during the renovations.
