Seven gardens walk

We walk in a north-easterly direction past several green zones, to the recent Seven Gardens complex, the former Vander Elst cigar factory.
On weekdays, you can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat on their sunny terrace. The enclosed De Walque park has very diverse forestation, including exotic and indigenous trees.

The former gendarme barracks have been converted into a residential complex with a courtyard garden for the residents.
We return to Grote Markt through many narrow, green and car-free streets. We also visit a number of college gardens in Tiensestraat.
